GLUG dive trip - Gozo (Malta) 13-20 June 2020 (8 days)
When? We are flying out on the 13th June morning (Sat) and back on 20th June late evening (Sat). There will be 6 full days of diving (Sunday to Friday), planning to dive about 12-15 dives (2/3 dives a day), with possibility of additional night dives. You can decide to dive on some days only, or come for a partial week, please contact us to discuss - firstname.lastname@example.org
We are diving with DiveSMART Gozo - PADI 5 Stars Instructor Development Centre Dive Resort, which offers courses for beginners, advanced or refresher courses if required. We will do our best to align on diving schedules/sites for the whole group with different diving abilities or trainings together. Most dives are shore diving but with possibility to go on boat trips not far away. Also, we expect there will be a few non divers (friends/partners) joining too, and it's flexible so that you may not want to dive or join the group every single day.
Around the coastal areas of Gozo, you will be able to discover some of the pristine underwater world in its natural beauty. DiveSMART Gozo offers you a chance to discover the delights of the diverse marine life and dramatic underwater topography which brings divers back to the Island year after year.
The clear, crystal warm waters have almost no currents or tidal movement, enabling us to discover the rugged underwater scenery and extraordinary marine life that inhabit these Islands. The scenery above water with steep cliffs, caves and valleys is almost mirrored in the underwater world; both are truly breath-taking.
There are some famous dive sites, such as Blue Hole, Inland Sea, Cathedral Cave. For a list of top dive sites near by, take a look at this page - https://www.divemalta-gozo.com/dive-sites/
How much it costs for diving?
Based on prices in 2019, with the group discount, each dive is about £19 (or £26 if full equipment hire is required). Air filled tanks are included, and they don't use Nitrox. You will settle the payment for the diving costs at the dive centre directly and individually. Night dives are with supplement of £7, and full day boat or Malta trips will have extra supplements (with lunch included).
Where are we staying and how much?
Ponderosa Holiday Home (private villa)
Nice large private pool area with BBQ, original mill room, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi. This centuries old property compliments the charm of the rural village of Gharb, which is a gem in itself with its quaint streets, and splendid church. The village also boasts exceptional country walks.......
It works out around £20 / person / night to share the villa.
