2014 GLUG Dive Trips & Log Book

As well as the annual favorites Weymouth, Pembroke and Plymouth 2014 saw us heading off across from the Cornish mainland to the startlingly gorgeous Isles of Scilly.

As ever, a massive collective GLUG hug and thank you to all the trip organisers and dive boat managers for all your hard work both before and during the trips, on land and water and to all the GLUG divers and friends for making it so much fun.

GLUG Log Book 2014

To help you complete your dive logs (and to reminisce on those times under the sea!), we've also added dive sites details on a number of those trips (this is updated from time to time as more trip details are made available from the trip organisers). Dive sites marked with an asterisk * are linked to an external website (Divernet etc) where you can discover more details about those dive sites.

The Isles of Scilly are located 20 miles off the Cornish mainland but with their white sandy beaches and turquoise seas we almost felt as though we were in the Caribbean. IOS dive sites are many and varied, thanks to the hidden and treacherous reefs abounding the islands there are wreck sites galore from modern tankers to 18th C. museum dives complete with cannon and muskets. Festooned with colorful jewel anemones the reefs are a veritable feast for the eye, we weren't lucky enough to see any basking sharks but our divers were joined by friendly and inquisitive seals. Definitely a GLUG favorite destination and one that we will re-visit!
