This trip is being organised as book by the space direct with a new operator - Jurassic Aqua Sports.

With many operators still proudly demanding full social distancing, mask wearing, self declaration forms, barring entry to most onboard spaces, not serving onboard refreshments and having strict rules on kitting up solo, the choice of dive operators for 2022 is severely restricted. This operator appears to have a more progressive approach to Covid 19 and whilst it isn't possible to guarantee what measures might be demanded, their website suggests that they are keeping in step with government guidance which as we know is currently, there is no guidance!

The book by the space approach allows us to run trips even with small numbers. It also allows members to dive on as many or few days as they wish without financial penalties for anyone and the club runs no risk of financial losses as all bookings are direct with the operator.

Obviously the boat will likely be booked out completely and we will be sharing the space with random divers however we can cope with such conditions amicably and there's no harm in meeting new people and making new friends.

This trip is intended to be a gentle (re)introduction to UK diving in recognition of something of a hiatus for UK diving over the past two years. The Saturday dives may not be ideal for beginners who may wish to consider diving Sunday & Monday only. The ropes off times are a little more relaxed which are ideal for those who need extra time to faff with kit and take things at a slightly more leisurely pace.

Dive Schedules: 

The boat dictates the schedule, GLUG has no influence.

Sat 30th April - Pulpit Rock + 2nd dive            - Depth 15-30m
Sun 1st May   - Nat's Head Reef + 2nd dive     - Depth 8-18m
Mon 2nd May  - Black Hawk (Bow) + 2nd Dive - Depth 18-20m

Dive Prices: 
Each dive day costs £70 and this must be booked with the provider direct.

Accommodations: 
TBC once trip is confirmed but likely to be Portland. You may arrange your own accommodation if you wish.
