| 2nd-5th April 2010 | Pembrokeshire | 10 of 12 | mayday | £0 | £0 | BSAC Sports or equlivalent | form | |
| The cunning plan is to have 2 days' worth of course and 1 or 2 days doing project work and diving. Steve is quite flexible about which days we do which (weather dependent) and whether people want to do just the course or do some diving.
RYA courses: prices as per attached booking form. If you want more information about the content of the courses, go to www.rya.org.uk. Steve is doing the RYA courses, so should match what's on there.
Project work: Dave Bonney and I (with Steve Lewis's able assistance) will do an introduction to search and recovery. We've a couple of specific items we want to locate and raise - a camera in the Haven which was being used for a survey - it's on a big sledge and a tin ingot which came off a wreck.
Diving: £45 per person per day. NB it will be cold at the beginning of April, but the viz should be great. This is optional, but we need 6 people minimum.
A deposit of £11 per diving day plus the course fee secures a place. The balance (to GLUG) is payable four weeks before the first day of diving.
Please find enclosed details of possible accommodation. Early booking is advisable. More comprehensive details regarding the weekend will be sent 4 weeks beforehand. Packed lunch will be available. | Cold - drysuit. Early season diving and suited to more experianced divers | | Mark, | smokiejoe |

This is an astounding reef safari and a photographers dream. | Easy peasy! Suitable for both experienced and newer divers although, you will need 50+ logged dives for Elphinestone on the last day. | | benb, | fredwynn, | in2theblue, | valcohn, | Dany, | debbiep, | cave_girl, | redrock |

| The weekend’s diving is off a hard boat called Blue Shark. There is an optional third day – the Friday – if you want to make a long weekend of it. You make your own accommodation arrangements, but there is a list of suggested B&Bs below. The boat will leave from Neyland Marina, so anywhere near there or in Little Haven would be fine. Suitable for newly-qualified up to experienced divers.
You make your own accommodation arrangements, but there is a downloadable list of suggested B&Bs below. The boat leaves from Neyland and we usually stay either around Little Haven (where the skipper lives) or in Neyland. Unfortunately Heddfan, the self-catering cottage, is no longer available as it is now being handled by an agent.
The fee for the boat per day is £540, which works out at £45 per person per day, assuming a full boat-load of 12 people. A deposit of £22 (including admin fee) for two days or £33 for three days is required to secure a place. This is non-refundable unless a substitute diver is found or the dive is cancelled. Website: www.gopdc.co.uk. | This weekend is intended for a range of divers, from just qualified to experienced. Pembrokeshire Dive Charters is run by Steve and Jean Lewis and the diving will be off a hard boat called Blue Shark, which now has a hydraulic lift. | This is a 3-day weekend, including the bank holiday Monday. We will be diving on Trojan Warrior, a hardboat, which has a hydraulic lift. Two rooms have been reserved at nearby Venn Farm in Brixton. However, divers are free to make their own arrangements - there is a list of suggested B&Bs below. The boat will leave from Mount Batten Marina, so anywhere near there would be fine. Suitable for newly-qualified up to experienced divers.
Always a popular weekend, with lots of easily accessible wrecks and reefs. Trojan Warrior takes ten divers and is skippered by Rod Davies, who used to skipper Storm – a boat we’ve used many times in the past. He will be ably assisted by Chris Howe, who owns the boat. Apart from the famous James Eagan Layne and the new Scylla, there are plenty of other wrecks, such as the Elk, Persier and Rose Hill. The Eddystone is also a marvellous dive.
If you don’t want to stay at Venn Farm (which is bookable through Corinne), you should make your own accommodation arrangements - there is a downloadable list of suggested B&Bs below. The boat leaves from Mount Batten Marina.
The fee for the boat per day is £380, which works out at £38 per person per day assuming a full boat-load of ten divers. A deposit of £33 (including admin fee) is required to secure a place. This is non-refundable unless a substitute diver is found or the dive is cancelled. | Depths will range from shallow to 30 metres. Dry suits or thick semi-dry suits necessary. | | fiona white |
