Membership
GLUG membership is about being part of a diverse dive club primarily focused on diving in all its forms all around the world.
Here are some of the things that membership entitles you to:
- Monthly meetings every month in London.
- UK Dives – we organise dives every year in Weymouth, Plymouth, and South Wales, plus other locations.
- Overseas Dives – we arrange trips every year to warm water locations such as the Red Sea, Thailand, and the Caribbean
- Social events, including a Summer Picnic or Barbecue, and a Christmas Meal
- Links with other LGBT Scuba clubs worldwide
- Diving Instruction either PADI or BSAC.
- A combined total of over 250 years Scuba Diving Experience!
- Full access to all website features including online trip bookings, member profiles and member only forum posts.
Membership is open to all, regardless of Race, Age, Nationality, Gender, or Sexual Orientation.
GLUG provides a safe and friendly environment for LBGT divers however we welcome anyone, regardless of sexual orientation, who supports this aim.
Membership costs just £10 per year! We have very low overheads because we only hire pools when they are required for training, we keep only a minimum of kit, we don’t have a boat and we’re a not for profit organisation. The membership fee is there simply to pay for the essentials and cover our admin costs, web hosting, kit maintenance (for the items we have), insurance etc.
Membership runs Jan-Dec with renewals opening in late November and concluding at the end of January. We offer half priced membership from August to reflect the shorter period.
