Hi All
The Red Sea Trip, on 27th July, is now full but I will be creating a reserve list should there be any cancellations. As you can see there has been no interest in the June trip on Coral Queen but I will keep this one open for a little while, as I think it still offers a good discount on the normal price.
Lydia from Oonasdivers will be joining the informal part of January’s club meeting ( 10th Jan ) for a Q&A ( no sales). Please pop along if you have any questions.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE

Some of you may remember Allan Jones, who was a GLUG member for several years. Unfortunately, an serious ear infection, picked up after diving a couple of years ago, has left him unable to dive.
He has a complete set of dive gear, which he obviously no longer needs, and asked whether any club members might be interested in it. I have no idea how much he wants for it, if anything.
So, if you’re interested, send me an email, and I’ll send you Allan’s phone number. Members can email me by logging in and then clicking on the envelope at the top of this post, or via the Contact Form (select General enquiries).

I have an expensive holiday booked to the Riviera Maya next March and am concerned about the damage to the coral reefs and the coast line caused by Hurrican Wilma.
Has anybody visited there since the hurricane hit who could give me an up to date picture of the REAL situation please?
Thanks
Mandy

I have just booked a weekend’s hardboat diving in Swanage (Dorset) on the 9/10 September 2006. Two dives a day - one wreck and one drift. Hopefully we’ll do the Kyarra on one of the days. There’s some great diving off Swanage, so it’s bound to be a fun trip! I’ll pop it on the Events Page as soon as I work out how to do it! In the meantime pop the dates in your diaries and if you’re interested, get in touch.

The lovely Lydia at Oonasdivers has now agreed to give me 19 places on The Southern Red Sea trip ( dep 27th July ), a 7 day liveaboard on the fabulous, brand spanking new Panorama Explorer. This means that GLUG now has the boat to itself with the 20th place hopefully being taken by a diving journalist. Already 10 people have registered interest and one has paid, in full! At £649, incl flights, I think this is a great price. Let’s fill this boat and make this a great trip.
For those already registered, I will be sending out a group email shortly, regarding deposit amounts.

Today I received thanks from the Food Chain for the £124 collected at the AGM Christmas Party.
I just want to add my own thanks for supporting them. See you on a dive in 2006

Hi everyone,
NCRD (Northern California Rainbow Divers) tell me that their trip to Wakatobi for July next year still has some places available, so if you’re interested in diving some of the world’s most pristine reefs, have a look at the original post
