Dry Dive at London Diving Chamber - 3rd August

Posted by Neil on 24th June 2005

The Diving Chamber

I’ve provisionally arranged a club “dive” at the London Diving Chamber for the evening of Wednesday August 3rd, at 6pm.

For those who have never experienced a Dry Dive, it can be a fun and educational experience - it also counts as a real dive in your log book.

If you think you’ve never experienced Nitrogen Narcosis, or even if you have, but think you can handle it - a Dry Dive will demonstrate just how narced you can become.

Cheap Scuba Gear from LIDL

Posted by Neil on 22nd June 2005

Now, I know that some of us wouldn’t be seen dead in LIDLs, but it’s been brought to my attention that they are selling some very cheap Scuba-related stuff from next Monday.

How does a Shorty Wetsuit for £20 sound? Or a pair of Dive Boots for a fiver? An Underwater LED Torch for £6.99? An SMB for £3.99?

You can find details of all these and more on the LIDL website

Be warned - LIDL Special offers are usually gone in a matter of hours, so if you’re interested, best get down there first thing on Monday morning.

Brighton Dive Schools

Posted by Neil on 21st June 2005

Can anyone recommend a gay-friendly dive school in or around Brighton?

I’ve had a query from (hopefully) a prospective member, but in any case it would be good to know in advance of Brighton Pride.

If you know of one, please leave a comment below.

Thanks.

Underwater Habitats

For the diver who has everything - a “semi-submerged dwelling environment“… or perhaps you’d prefer the “cliff side environment in harmony with nature“.
