Oceanic BCD inflator recall

CONSUMER NOTICE - Reliant BC Inflator

Oceanic has been informed by its supplier that they have received isolated reports of BC Inflator mechanisms exhibiting continual flow of air into the BC after release of the power inflation button. Affected are Oceanic Reliant model Inflators that are fitted on various models of Oceanic’s BCs that were sold between February 1, 2004, and June 24, 2004. BCs sold prior to February 1, 2004, do not have these Inflators and are not affected .

Portsmouth / Isle of Wight trip

Last weekend was GLUG’s first trip to Portsmouth, and was a success, despite problems with suit failure and seasickness.

The three of us arrived on Friday evening, and after sampling the local chinese restaurant, and Portsmouth’s gay nightlife (which seemed predominatanly lesbian!), we arrived at the dive shop bright and early the next morning.

One of the few diving jokes I’ve come across…

Three diving instructors on a boat. PADI, SSI and BSAC. They have a group of novice divers and enjoying an educational guddle around St Abbs’ head, when the PADI instructor pipes up “I’m hungry, I need some munchies”. He hops over the side of the boat, walks across the water to the shore and starts to walk up the cliff path.

Pride London

Ignacio and I had a pretty good day at the London Pride Rally in trafalgar square on Saturday. We had to arrive by 11am, despite the rally not starting until 2.30pm, but at least it gave us a chance to look around the other stalls, and grab a few freebies!
