Christmas Meal Deposits
Posted by Doug_Young on November 18th, 2009
If you are booked for the Christmas Meal – we now need your deposit!
Christmas Meal deposits can be paid via PayPal. To compensate for fees charged by PayPal when using a direct link, the amount you will be charged is £10.56. For those willing to follow instructions carefully, it is possible to pay exactly £10 and avoid all fees.
For a simple life pay £10.56 for your £10 deposit using this link: Pay £10.56 via PayPal
If you have a PayPal account and will pay from your PayPal balance and/or from a linked bank account (i.e. NO credit or debt card funding!) then you can send a payment of £10 following these instructions VERY CAREFULLY to avoid fees being charged.
Login to your PayPal account
Click on ‘Send Money’
Select the ‘Personal’ tab on the form THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
Enter £10 in the Amount box
Enter in the email address box
Continue to the next step and confirm that the line ‘Glug will receive’ says ‘£10.00 GBP’
If your PayPal account uses an email address which isn’t registered on the GLUG website please use the form at the bottom to advise me who is paying!
Click ‘Send Money’
I hope all is clear!
Cheers Doug

Processing your request, Please wait....
Hi Doug,
Thanks for the instruction on how to send money on paypal. I’m still waiting for funds to be transferred. It was due today but no sign of it. (Sorry but I rarely use Paypal!)
I just want to let you know of the situation. Your patience is appreciated…
Hi Guys
Sorry to have missed your email of the 18th asking for deposit monies.
I’d like to pay you for both our deposits, unfortunately I’m not allowed to. I could only pay one deposit through Pay Pal using my debit card.
I now have to set up a direct debit through my bank account to make the 2nd payment. Paypal are going to send me a token amount into my bank account, which I then have to confirm before I am allowed to continue to pay the 2nd deposit.
I’m now waiting for Paypal to transfer monies into my account(???) and I’ll complete the remaining transaction by the end of the week.
Regards
Jeff & Ken
