AGM and Christmas Meal

Hi Fellow GLUGgers,

The AGM this year will be at 3.00pm at the Phoenix Artists Bar (where we hold our monthly meetings) on Saturday December 12th.  This will be followed by our Christmas Dinner.  Can you please respond to this post letting us know whether you will be attending the AGM, the AGM and Dinner, or purely the dinner.

The venue for the Christmas Dinner has yet to be decided – which is where you come in!   In order for us to secure a reasonable menu and price, we need to know how many GLUGgers are intending to come along – could you please let us know if you would like to come to the dinner, and also let us know what type of food would suit you – Italian, Steak, Traditional Christmas, Thai, etc, so that we can find somewhere able to take us!

As time is running out – could you please respond by the evening of Friday 6th November.

As an aside, due to the fact that we are having the AGM, there will be NO Monthly GLUG Meeting in December, and also the January Meeting will be the second Tuesday of January (Tuesday 12th).

    Hi Doug,
    Please count me in for AGM and a Christmas Dinner. I would like to bring my partner but it depends on a choice of a restaurant as she is on a gluten free diet. I would reccommend Carluccio’s, which it a nice Italian restaurant. The one I’ve been to is in St. Christopher’s Place but there is more of them in London. I’ll send you more information.

    Hi Doug,

    Count me in for the AGM. The Dinner depends on where it’s going to be. My recommendation would be the private room at Busaba Eatthai, Store street (www.busaba.com) – GLUG went there 2 or 3 years ago (but I missed it, despite organising it!). However, they only take groups of up to 20, so might not be big enough. Otherwise, (since I love Thai food), one of the Thai Square restaurants.

    I notice we have two threads going for the Xmas dinner but if you haven’t seen my post on the other please note

    We have now provisionally booked Carluccios and are near capacity. The private dining room holds 36, 40 at a squeeze. I think we are nearly up to 32 people now so if you know of anyone else who might have been keen, give them a nudge. Thanks.
