Brighton Pride 2009 – Urgent Call for Volunteers!

Hi fellow GLUGgers!

With only three days to go to the “Big Event“, we need to get a rota sorted for covering the GLUG Stall at Brighton Pride!  Last year, our Stall drew a lot of interest, and it would therefore be a fair assumption to assume that the same will happen this year!

I would envisage that you would only need to “Person” the Stall for a maximum of 2 hours (though if you’d like to do more…) during the day.  The Stall work isn’t too taxing – it is usually just handing out flyers, taking down the details of people who are interested in learning more about GLUG, and generally showing happy smiling faces to the throng.

If you could let me know whether you will be able to help out, I’d be very grateful – if you can’t manage two hours, or are unsure when you will be there, let me know anyway, and I’ll see what I can sort out!

    Put me down for 2/3pm. I am preparing a A3 Overseas promotional board and leaflets for the Red Sea Training trip in Nov as well as leaflets for Neil’s Philippines trip.

    PS. Considering the forecast and purely in the interests of promoting GLUG-off course-should we wear wet suits or might that get unwanted attention? LOL. See you Sat.

    I think that I’m going to Pride, a friend has just invited us – pending him getting his new flat keys tomorrow afternoon (Thursday).

    I’m happy to help out for a couple of hours, but will confirm tomorrow night, (Thursday)

    I’m hoping to arrive in Brighton around 12ish on Sat so I could come by the stall for a while to help, about 1, if that would be good? I can only stay for about an hour though.
