There was some more Interest in the GLUG Philippines trip at the last club meeting, and since I have to release any unused Rooms back to the resorts at the end of August, I thought I’d post another reminder.

You can find full details of the trip in the Trip Brochure, but to summarise:

Dates: Feb 27th – Mar 13th 2010
Price:
Divers £1200/ Non-diving partners £600
Included:

  • 14 nights accommodation in aircon rooms (5 nights Dauin, 4 nights Siquijor, 5 nights Alona Beach)
  • Breakfast each day
  • Transfers by bus & ferry to/from Cebu airport (can also arrive at Dumaguete airport or depart from Tagbilaran)
  • Transfers by Dive Boat between each resort
  • 30 Boat dives over 12 days, plus 1-2 Shore dives each day.  All dives are guided.  Tanks & Weights included.
  • All Marine Sanctuary Fees

Not included:

  • Flights
  • Lunch, Dinner, and Drinks (allow a total of £15-£20 per day).  Drinks at breakfast are included.
  • Excess Baggage Charges on Ferries (unlikely to be more than about £5 each way)
  • Surcharges for longer day trips or excursions (optional)
  • Nitrox (approx £2/fill).  (Note: not available at Siquijor)
  • Equipment Rental if required (approx £11/day for full set excluding computer; £5/day for computer)

Payment Schedule:

£200 deposit.  £500 due 1st September 2009.  Final payment of £500 due 1st January 2010.   Non-divers pay £200/£200/£200.

    Something I forgot to mention:

    Flights from London to the Philippines with Qatar Airways (the most Dive-friendly airline flying there – they give you an extra 10Kg baggage free), are currently around £600.
