Events – Changes to posting

Hi Fellow GLUGgers,

Following a number of spurious “events” being posted onto the site, it was decided at the last Committee Meeting to change the awy in which these are handled.

Currently, only Committee Members and other designated Members can post trips to the GLUG Events list.  If anyone would like an event, be it Diving related or Social, should ask for one of the Committee to post it.

All events, by default, do not appear on the public list and will remain in red on the edit screen until approved.  Approval can be carried out by anyone on the Committee (as long as they are not the author of the event). 

No event can be added (the button is disabled) until a post is specified, so a post about the trip or event needs to be added before it can be added to the event list – this is to ensure that there is at least one post per event and not leave it orphaned!
