Bonaire trip - April 2005

Posted by Stephanie Butcher on August 30th, 2004

Our friends from Lambda Divers (a Gay Dive club in Canada), have invited GLUG members to join them on a trip to Bonaire from 16th-23rd April 2005.

They’re staying at Capt Dons Habitat - home of several previous Diving For Life gay scuba jamborees, and also “the home of 24/7 diving freedom” (you can dive at 4am, if you really want to!).

The package includes 7 nights B&B, airport transfers, 12 boat dives, and unlimited free shore diving, (which means anywhere on the west side of the island, not just the home reef), all taxes, service charges, and gratuities (except dive crew). Corinne and I have been 3 or 4 times and it’s just the best place in the world for chilled-out warm water, non-challenging, visually stunning Scuba Diving.

The price is US$985, which at current rates is about £565. Flights from the UK with KLM are currently being offered (on the KLM website) at £670 return, but you may find cheaper if you shop around.

They need to know soon - payment is an initial deposit of $285 on booking, second payment $350 by 17th November, and final payment $350 by Jan 1st. If you want more details, contact me (members can click on the author name at the top of this post).

Just one last point: This is actually cheaper than the 1 week Red Sea liveaboard prices I’ve been getting for South trips in 2005. Guess where we may be going (subject to contractual discussions with she who must be obeyed….).

Love,

Steph.
