who are GLUG?
GLUG is a non-profit SCUBA diving club for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered divers and their friends. We have over 100 members and organise a number of dive trips in the UK and overseas each year. We also plan regular socials, try dives and take an active part in London Pride each year.
GLUG doesn’t discriminate on the grounds of sexual orientation. Although the club is aimed at the gay community, we have welcomed several enlightened straight divers who find diving with GLUG a refreshing change from regular SCUBA clubs. GLUG welcomes members from all diving organisations, although the majority of our members are either PADI or BSAC qualified. We therefore aim to offer easier access to training with these two organisations. GLUG is affiliated to BSAC, our BSAC club name is Dorothy Divers. We have tanks, BCDs, regs and other kit available to GLUG members for a small per day donation, which covers service costs. |
GLUG monthly socials
GLUG has a social meeting every month (usually the first Tuesday of each month, but there are exceptions around Christmas and holidays). Every 3rd month includes a committee meeting.
DATE/TIME OF NEXT SOCIAL Tuesday 4 June 2013, 7pm onwards VENUE Phoenix Artist Club 1 Phoenix Street London WC2H 8BU N.B. The monthly social meeting is on the first Tuesday of each month, except January and December.
